Commercial Vehicle Insurance Hull
Depending on your business you may only need to insure a single commercial vehicle or you may have a fleet of cars and vans you wish to insure on one policy. Alternatively, you may have HGV’s that require a specialist policy.

Single Vehicle
Typically required by sole traders or businesses with only 1 vehicle. Cover is available on a comprehensive basis for most commercial vehicles and single business cars on a no claims bonus basis. Cover may be extended to include driving on an ‘any driver’ basis.
Truck/HGV
For large commercial vehicles or HGV’s weighing more than 2.5 tonnes, a specialist insurance policy will be required. Cover is available for a single HGV or a fleet. These policies can be on a named driver basis or any driver and can also extend to cover the vehicles trailer.

Fleet insurance
Fleet insurance is a multi-vehicle insurance policy, typically for a minimum of 3 vehicles on a comprehensive basis. Normally, policies are based on an ‘any driver’ basis and require a minimum of 3 years claims experience.
However, some insurers will quote for a 2-vehicle mini fleet policy with the relevant no claims bonus and named drivers on the vehicles.
